Pick what you make. Codex costs the materials against your specs and return rate, then shows the real profit, margin and silver per focus on every craft.

A tool that works out whether saddling a mount is worth doing. It weighs the cost of the tame animal and the leather, cloth or planks that go with it against what the finished mount sells for.
A mount is unusual among crafts: the animal is almost always the dominant cost, and it does not come back to you when you craft. Only the saddling materials return, so a return rate that looks generous on paper barely moves the real bill. Mounts also carry no city specialty and no Destiny Board bonus, which means the focus cost is the same for everyone and there is no better city to travel to. The tool prices both sides live so you can see whether the animal is cheap enough this week to be worth saddling.
Pick a tier to narrow the list, then read the profit column. Cost already accounts for the animal being non-returnable while the saddling materials return at your crafting return rate. A green number means the finished mount is worth more than the animal plus its materials; a red number means you are better off selling the animal on.
It depends almost entirely on what the tame animal costs, since that is the dominant input and it is never returned by your crafting return rate. This calculator prices the animal and the saddling materials against what the finished mount sells for, after fees, so you can tell whether saddling beats simply selling the animal.
None of them. Unlike weapons, armour and refining, no royal city carries a saddler specialty, so a mount crafts at the same base return rate wherever you make it. Your location still matters through the ordinary city, hideout or island return rate.
No. Animal Breeder unlocks mount crafting, but no node grants a focus reduction for mounts, so the focus cost shown is what every player pays. That is unlike gear and potion crafting, where your specialisation lowers focus as you level it.
Only the saddling materials. The tame animal carries no return at all, which the game data states outright, so the calculator charges it in full and applies your return rate to the leather, cloth or planks only.
Every figure here is derived from the game's own data and checked against real crafts. How we calculate.
