About this tool

Food Crafting Calculator

What is this?

A tool that works out whether cooking food to sell is worth it. It compares what the ingredients cost you against what the finished dish sells for, so you can see your profit before you start.

Why use it?

Cooked food is something players always need, since it gives helpful buffs in fights and keeps mounts and buildings fed, so there is steady demand. The catch is that ingredient prices move around, and a dish that paid well last week might not today. This uses your character's real cooking skill, so the share of ingredients that come back to you is counted as yours and not a generic estimate, and it prices on the 7-day traded average so one odd sale does not skew the result.

How to use it?

Pick the dish you want to cook and set its tier. The tool fills in current ingredient and selling prices and shows your likely profit per item once fees are taken out. If the profit is green it is worth cooking, and if it is red your ingredients are costing more than the food sells for.

Frequently asked

Questions about the Food Crafting Calculator

Is cooking food profitable in Albion Online?

Food sells steadily because players need it for buffs, mounts and territory upkeep, but ingredient prices move and can quietly eat your margin. This calculator compares ingredient cost against the selling price, after fees, so you can see your profit per dish before you cook.

How much does my cooking mastery matter?

Your cooking mastery and specialisation raise the share of ingredients that come back to you, which lowers your real cost per dish. The calculator reads your actual Destiny Board levels once you sync, so the returns are counted for your character rather than as a flat rate.

Which food is most profitable to cook?

It changes with ingredient prices, so the best dish today may not be the best next week. Check a few in the calculator and go with the ones showing the strongest green profit on current prices.
