Albion Online Discord bot

Prices, crafting shopping lists, focus picks and the Battle Board, answered inside Discord. Add it to your guild's server for battle, kill, ZvZ and weekly report feeds, or to your own account to use the commands anywhere. Free.

Add to your serverAdd to your own account

Adding it to a server needs Manage Server on that server. Not an officer? Add it to your own Discord account instead: every command except /setup then works in any server or DM, with no admin rights. Feeds need the server install.

What it does

  • Market and crafting. /price shows what an item sells for in every royal city with how old each number is. /craft tells you how many materials to actually buy for a batch once returns are counted, and what the batch earns. /focus ranks what to spend focus on by silver per focus.
  • Battle Board. Look up a battle, guild, alliance or player, compare two guilds head to head, or list a guild's rivals, from the same records as the Battle Board. /bandit gives the current Bandit Assault phase with a countdown.
  • Feeds for your server. /setup posts new battles, notable kills, big ZvZ fights, a weekly report and a weekly leaderboard into the channel you choose.
  • Your account. Link your Discord on albioncodex.com and /fame shows your daily fame gains; /alerts sends you DMs.

The numbers are the same ones the site shows: prices from the Albion Online Data Project and the Codex capture network, battles from the game's public kill records. See how we calculate.

Commands

Every command, as Discord lists it. Region is one of Americas, Europe or Asia; names autocomplete from the Battle Board.

Feeds for your server

Feeds post on their own into a channel of your server. Only members with Manage Server (or Administrator) can set them up; Discord hides /setup from everyone else.

  1. Add the bot to your server.
  2. Run /setup battles (or kills, weekly, zvz, leaderboard, bandit) with the region and the guild or alliance to follow. Pick a channel, or leave it out to post in the channel you typed the command in.
  3. The bot posts a hello message in that channel to check it can. If it cannot, it says which permission is missing: it needs View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links there.
  4. Only fights from then on are posted, checked every 2 minutes. /setup list shows the server's feeds, /setup remove deletes one, and /setup test posts a sample message.
Feed types and how many a server can run
FeedWhat gets postedOptionsFreeCodex+
/setup battlesEach new battle a guild or alliance fights, as its share card by default.Smallest fight to post (default 20 players, 5 to 300); style: card, detailed or text.1 feed5 feeds
/setup killsNotable kills by or against a guild or alliance.Smallest kill fame to post (default 1,000,000).1 feed5 feeds
/setup weeklyA weekly report for a guild or alliance, every Monday at 09:00 UTC.Guild or alliance, and optionally a channel.1 feed5 feeds
/setup zvzEvery big battle on a server, whoever fought it.50+ players (about 100 a day); 100+ players (about 30 to 35 a day, the default); 200+ players (a handful a day); style: card, detailed or text.1 feed per region3 feeds per region
/setup leaderboardEvery Monday: a server's top players per role and its top guilds.Region, and optionally a channel.1 feed5 feeds
/setup banditEach Bandit Assault phase change for a region.Region, and optionally a channel and a role to ping. Not availableOne per region

Limits are per Discord server and follow the member who sets the feed up: if they have Codex+, the higher limit applies. A Bandit Assault feed pauses if that member's Codex+ ends, and any Codex+ member can run /setup bandit again to resume it.

Free and Codex+

Every lookup and the basic feeds are free. Codex+ is the site's paid tier (it can also be earned by contributing prices); in Discord it is read from your linked account and adds:

Permissions it asks for

The server invite asks for five channel permissions (permission value 117760) and nothing else: no Administrator, no Manage Roles, no moderation, and no privileged intents, so it never receives your member list or message content.

Permissions in the server invite, and why
PermissionWhy
View ChannelSee the channel a feed posts to.
Send MessagesPost feeds and reports.
Embed LinksReplies and posts are embeds.
Attach FilesShare cards are posted as images.
Read Message HistoryEdit and thread its own posts.

Slash-command replies need none of these; they are for the feeds. Adding the bot to your own account asks for no permissions at all.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Every lookup command and the basic feeds are free. Codex+ raises feed limits and adds the Bandit Assault feed, DM alerts, more /fame and the 90-day head to head.

Do I need an account?

Not for the lookups. /fame, /alerts and /codex topic:Me need your Discord linked on your account page, and Codex+ is checked through that link.

Why is my feed not posting?

Check the bot has View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links in that channel, then run /setup test. /setup list says when a feed was switched off and why. Feeds post fights from the moment they are set up, not older ones, and a battle appears about 15 minutes after it ends.

Where do the numbers come from?

Prices come from the Albion Online Data Project and players running the Codex Client, so every reply shows how old its prices are. Battles come from the game's public kill records and are shown by in-game alliance.
