What is Albion Codex?

Albion Codex is a free toolkit for Albion Online players. Every calculator uses your real Destiny Board specs and live market prices instead of generic tier formulas. No account required to use the tools. Cross-device sync is optional and free.

Set Up Your Character First

2 minutes, do it once

Almost every calculator on the site uses your real Destiny Board specs to personalise its numbers. Without that data, you'll see generic tier-only outputs that won't match your actual in-game results.

  1. 1
Easiest: auto-import with the Codex Client
Install the Codex Client (a small Windows app, currently alpha), link it to your account at /account/link, then log into Albion and change zones once - your full Destiny Board imports automatically, and re-imports on every login or zone change after that. If you use the client, steps 2-3 are done for you.
  2. 2
Or set it up manually: open the Destiny Board
Go to /destiny-board. Click the global “+ Add Character” button and enter your character name and pick your server (Americas (West), Europe, or Asia (East)).
  3. 3
Fill in the specs you care about
Open each mastery group you care about and drag the spec sliders to match exactly what your in-game board shows - keep your in-game Destiny Board open as a reference.
  4. 4
Set the specs that matter for what you want to do
Crafting silver? Set the Crafting Specialist for the gear line you want to make (e.g. Knight Helmet Crafting Specialist). Refining? Set the matching refiner spec. PvP? Set the weapon and armor specs you use. You do not need to fill the entire board.
  5. 5
Open your calculator and confirm specs are loaded
The character panel on every calculator shows your current Mastery and Specialization values. If they read 0/100, the calculator is using base values, go back and set the spec.
Why this matters: A crafting spec at 0 makes the calculator assume you have no mastery, so every craft is costed at several times the real focus. That flips silver-per-focus from “great” to “useless” on most items - the numbers you see are meaningless until you set this up.

Quick Start

5 minutes

I want to make silver

Get your craft specs onto the Destiny Board (the Codex Client does it automatically), then open Crafting. The calculator ranks every item by what you can actually craft profitably right now.

  1. 1
    Install the Codex Client →
Recommended: the Windows app (alpha) auto-imports your Destiny Board when you log in or change zones - or set specs manually
  2. 2
    Check your Destiny Board →
Confirm your craft specs are in (or drag the sliders yourself)
  3. 3
    Open Crafting →
    Gear, Food, Potions, or Refining
  4. 4
    Cross-check Market →
Confirm sell prices before you commit

I want to plan my character

Destiny Board tracks your masteries and specs. The IP Calculator turns those numbers into real Item Power for any weapon you're considering.

  1. 1
    Install the Codex Client →
Recommended: the Windows app (alpha) imports your whole board automatically on login or zone change
  2. 2
Or add your character manually →
Use "+ Add Character" and set spec sliders to match the in-game board
  3. 3
    Run IP Calculator →
Pulls your spec, gives true IP for any weapon

I want a build

Browse Community Builds for known-good meta loadouts, or use Build Workbench to slot every piece yourself and see real damage.

  1. 1
    Browse Community Builds →
Filter by weapon, sorted by IP
  2. 2
    Open Build Workbench →
Slot gear, run the Damage Lab

WHEN TO USE

Open it daily to see where the numbers moved.

HOW TO USE
  1. Sign in with Discord or Google, or set a character as active locally.
  2. Use the Change button in the Active Player bar (or the sidebar character cards) to flip between alts.
  3. Click any card (PvP, Economy, top spec) to deep-link straight into that tool with your character pre-selected.
POWER MOVES
  • The "+ Add Character" button works from any page in the site, not just here.
  • If you sign in, characters and builds sync across browsers and devices automatically.
Open Dashboard
Destiny BoardBETA/destiny-board

Mirrors the in-game Destiny Board on the web. Tracks every mastery and specialization across Combat, Refining, Crafting, and Farming.

WHEN TO USE

Set this up first. Crafting, IP Calculator, Build Workbench, and Heart Runs all read from these numbers.

Before you start: Have a character name and server. Albion has three servers: Americas (West), Europe, and Asia (East). There are two ways to fill the board: the Codex Client (a small Windows app, currently alpha) imports it automatically, or you enter specs manually with the in-game Destiny Board UI as your reference.
HOW TO USE
  1. Easiest path: install the Codex Client from /download (Windows, alpha), pair it at /account/link, and your full board imports automatically the next time you log in or change zones in-game. If you use it, you can skip the manual steps below.
  2. Click "+ Add Character" if your character isn't already there. Pick the right server.
  3. Pick a pillar: Combat, Crafting, Refining, Farming (Gathering is coming soon).
  4. Open a mastery group inside that pillar (e.g. Crafting > Plate Armor > Knight Helmet).
  5. Drag each spec slider to match exactly what your in-game Destiny Board shows. 100 for maxed.
  6. Repeat only for the specs you care about, you do not need to fill the entire board.
READ THE RESULTS
  • The pillar % at the top shows how much of that whole pillar you've maxed.
  • Green = spec maxed. Yellow = in progress. Grey = untracked (treated as zero by calculators).
POWER MOVES
  • The Codex Client keeps the board current for you - every login or zone change re-imports your latest masteries and specs, so manual sliders become a fallback, not a chore.
  • Use the Max buttons next to combat sliders to instantly set to 100 (or 120 for combat specs that scale higher).
  • Open multiple mastery groups in the same session, the spec sliders save as you go.
Tip: A spec at zero in Destiny Board makes the Crafting calculator assume you have no mastery, so every craft costs far more focus (a levelled spec roughly halves focus cost) and silver-per-focus collapses. Always check your spec is set before trusting the numbers.
Open Destiny Board

Crafting (hub)BETA/craft

Picker page for the crafting suite: the Gear hero plus Food, Potions, Refining, and the Black Market tool.

WHEN TO USE

You know you want to craft but haven't picked a discipline.

HOW TO USE
  1. Click the discipline that matches your spec.
  2. All four calculators are one tool with a shared tab strip (Gear / Food / Potions / Refining / Black Market / Session Planner) - your conditions follow you between tabs.
Open Crafting (hub)
Gear CraftingBETA/craft/gear

Ranks every weapon, armor piece, and off-hand by real profit. Adjusted to your spec, mastery, tax, station fee, journal income, and quality distribution.

WHEN TO USE

You have crafting specs and want to know exactly what to make today.

Before you start: Destiny Board set for the weapon line you want to craft (e.g. Soldier Helmet Crafting Specialist for T5 plate helmets, Knight Helmet for T6, etc.). Without spec, every craft costs several times more focus, so silver-per-focus craters.
HOW TO USE
  1. The page opens in Simple mode: the condition "stamps" along the top (Server, Craft, Buy → Sell, Pricing) are directly editable - click any of them.
  2. Set Tier and Enchant in Advanced mode ("Adjust conditions →"). Use "All" enchants to compare .0-.4 rows for each recipe side by side.
  3. Leave "Auto-source cheapest mats" and "Auto bonus city (+return)" on unless you craft from a fixed stock - they price each row at its best case.
  4. Sync your Destiny Board (or use the Manual entry sliders in the "Your Destiny Board" panel) so focus costs and margins use your real specs.
  5. In Advanced, open "More +" for journals, Premium tax, station fee, and the Profitable only / Has prices / Show estimates filters.
  6. Pick a Crafting Food in the Destiny Board panel for higher quality output.
  7. Sort by S / Focus for focus efficiency or by Profit for absolute silver (click the column headers in Advanced).
READ THE RESULTS
  • COST = ingredient cost + station fee + journal cost.
  • SELL = the 7-day traded average in your sell city - or the cross-city average on Auto.
  • 7D VOL = how many actually sold this week. Low volume = your listing will sit for days.
  • PROFIT = SELL x (1 - tax) - COST x (1 - return rate).
  • S/FOCUS = profit per focus point. Best metric if focus is your bottleneck.
  • MARGIN = profit as a % of cost. Useful for comparing across tiers.
POWER MOVES
  • Click a row (Advanced) to expand the full breakdown: materials, return rate applied, tax, journal profit, and quality chances.
  • Click the item art on any row to open the economy modal - per-city buy/sell with best cities highlighted, plus a 14-day price chart.
  • The Qty box + QUEUE button on each row sends that recipe to the Crafting Session Planner; the toast shows your running session total.
  • The Black Market tab is its own tool: sell equipment straight into the Caerleon dealer’s buy orders, tax-free.
Tip: Bonus cities by gear type: Bridgewatch (plate body, leather feet, cloth feet), Lymhurst (cloth body, leather body), Martlock (leather body, off-hands), Fort Sterling (plate helm, cloth helm, swords, hammers), Thetford (fire/curse staves, crossbows), Caerleon (artifact weapons), Brecilien (capes and bags).
Open Gear Crafting
Food CraftingBETA/craft/food

Every meal and fish dish ranked by silver-per-focus, with quality bonuses and live ingredient costs.

WHEN TO USE

You have cooking spec and want to fund the rest of your focus day, or you're cooking for personal supply.

Before you start: Cooking spec on the Destiny Board (Vegetable Soups, Meat Pies, Omelettes, Salads, Sandwiches, or Stews depending on what you want to make).
HOW TO USE
  1. With "Auto bonus city" on, every meal is scored as cooked in Caerleon - the cooking bonus city.
  2. Set tier and enchant. Use "All" enchants to expand each meal into 4 rows.
  3. Sort by S / Focus to see what gives you the best return per focus point.
  4. Click QUEUE on winners to send them to the Crafting Session Planner.
READ THE RESULTS
  • Some meal types only make profit at certain tiers, sort by Profit and check which tiers stay positive.
  • Sandwiches and Stews are usually the highest absolute profit; Salads and Soups are highest silver-per-focus.
Tip: Cook in Caerleon - it's the cooking bonus city, and the higher return rate there beats selling-city convenience. Even if you sell elsewhere, the focus efficiency from Caerleon wins.
Open Food Crafting
PotionsBETA/craft/potions

Combat and utility potions T2-T8 with spec-adjusted yields, live prices, and per-tier ranking.

WHEN TO USE

You have Alchemy spec and a market window, usually during ZvZ prep or pre-content windows when demand spikes.

Before you start: Alchemy spec on the Destiny Board for the potion family (Healing, Resistance, Invisibility, Poison, Sticky, Gigantify, etc.).
HOW TO USE
  1. With "Auto bonus city" on, every potion is scored as brewed in Brecilien - the alchemy bonus city.
  2. Pick a tier that matches your spec (don't bother with tiers above your spec, return rate craters).
  3. Use the search box to narrow to a potion family ("heal", "gigantify").
  4. Sort by Margin (best % return) or S / Focus (best focus efficiency).
POWER MOVES
  • Click the item art on a row for the economy modal - per-city prices and the 14-day chart.
  • Healing potions move fastest in the market; ZvZ-specific potions like Gigantify spike during content windows.
Open Potions
RefiningBETA/craft/refining

Ore, wood, fiber, hide, and stone profit per material type. Each one has its own bonus city, the calculator picks the right one.

WHEN TO USE

Daily focus rotation. Refining is usually the highest silver-per-focus play of the day if your spec is levelled.

Before you start: Refining spec for the material type (Stonecarver for stone, Lumberjack Refining for wood, Tanner for hide, Weaver for fiber, Smelter for ore).
HOW TO USE
  1. Pick the Resource in Advanced conditions (Hide → Leather, Ore → Metal Bar, Wood → Planks, Fiber → Cloth, Rock → Stone Block).
  2. Sync your Destiny Board (or set the manual sliders) so the focus costs use your real refining spec.
  3. Set Buy city (raw materials) and Sell city (refined output) if you want to override the auto-picked bonus city.
  4. The table shows tier-by-tier profitability - faction-warfare recipes (raw −1 + 1 biome heart) appear as their own rows when available.
READ THE RESULTS
  • COST = raw + lower-tier refined ingredient cost.
  • PROFIT = SELL - COST x (1 - return rate). Return rate compounds for higher tiers since you also recover lower-tier refined.
  • Refining in its bonus city with focus returns over half your inputs (the +40% refining specialty beats crafting’s +15%), and a levelled spec slashes the focus cost - which is why refining beats almost everything for silver-per-focus.
Tip: Bonus cities: Thetford (wood), Bridgewatch (stone), Lymhurst (fiber), Martlock (hide), Fort Sterling (ore). Caerleon is +5% on all but costs 50% more raw materials, usually not worth it.
Open Refining
Black MarketLIVE/silver/black-market

The dealer in Caerleon buys equipment tax-free. Both plays per item: craft it (real engine costs) or flip it off the cheapest royal market.

WHEN TO USE

You're heading to Caerleon anyway, or want instant-sell profit without waiting on sell orders.

HOW TO USE
  1. Pick tier, enchant and quality - the dealer pays per quality.
  2. Compare the Craft and Flip columns; the Play badge calls the better one.
  3. Refresh before you ride - the dealer’s orders move with NPC demand.
Tip: Above-Normal payouts on the craft play are lucky-roll money - crafts roll quality randomly. The flip play is exact: you buy the quality you sell.
Open Black Market
Crafting Session PlannerLIVE/silver/session-planner

Build a queue of items, get a single grouped shopping list, see your city route and total cart weight.

WHEN TO USE

You've picked your crafts in the calculators and are about to load up and head out.

HOW TO USE
  1. Add items to the queue from any craft calculator (QUEUE button on each row), or use "+ Quick add" here.
  2. Open the Shopping List tab to see exactly what materials to buy, grouped by city - quantities are recycle-safe (bring this much, craft in a few passes, collect the returns).
  3. Open the Route tab to see the city pickup order (the planner optimises the route, with per-stop spend).
  4. Open the Opportunities tab for trip-aware buying deals along your route (the Decision Maker).
  5. Watch Weight in the summary bar - that's your real haul load.
POWER MOVES
  • The "Share queue" button copies a link you can send to an alt or open on mobile.
  • Clear all wipes the queue if you want to start fresh.
  • Cash to Bring is your up-front outlay; Net Cost is what it truly costs after the materials you keep back; Est. Profit estimates what the queue sells for.
Tip: Mounts and their weight limits: T5 Ox = 891kg, T6 Ox = 1,486kg, T8 Ox = 2,000kg. Check Total Weight before mounting up.
Open Crafting Session Planner
Market BrowserBETA/silver/market

Live prices across all Royal Cities + Black Market with sell/buy spreads and price history.

WHEN TO USE

You need a price check before crafting, flipping, or listing an item, or you're tracking volatility.

HOW TO USE
  1. Search by item name ("T6.2 cloth", "great axe") and narrow with the kind pills (Equipment / Refined / Raw / Food / Potion) and tier/enchant/city selectors.
  2. Each row shows the sell and buy prices with a price-age stamp (amber when older than a day, red past three).
  3. Click a row to open the item modal: per-city prices with the best cities highlighted, plus the price-history chart.
  4. Switch to Trends mode for the 7-day gainers, losers, and volume leaders.
READ THE RESULTS
  • Know your price sources: gold numbers are observed AODP prices; a teal "Codex" badge means a player running our Codex Client captured that price more recently than AODP has it (still a real observed price); a violet "Est." pill is a model estimate with a High/Medium/Low reliability tag - shown only when the "Show estimates" toggle is on.
POWER MOVES
  • Star any row to pin it to your Watch List.
  • Pick Black Market in the city selector to see BM buy orders for equipment - if a city sell-to-BM spread is high, that's a flip for the Black Market tool.
Tip: Prices update as players run a data client and browse markets in-game. "Just now" prices are reliable; older than ~10 minutes is suspect during off-peak hours. The /guides/how-to-use-albion-market-data guide explains how to install the Codex Client and contribute back (we also pull from the public AODP network as a backstop).
Open Market Browser
Market HealthBETA/silver/market-health

Per-city, per-tier coverage map of the Albion Data Project. Checks all 7,152 item IDs the crafting engine uses across T4-T8 with all enchants and tells you which cities actually have fresh price data.

WHEN TO USE

You're seeing weird crafting profits or empty rows and want to confirm whether it's bad data vs no demand. Also useful before you trust a calculation in a city you don't usually craft in.

HOW TO USE
  1. Pick your Server: Americas (West), Europe, or Asia (East).
  2. Pick a Score threshold: "Fresh (<12h)" for trustworthy data, "Any Data" to see total coverage.
  3. Filter by Category (Gear / Materials / Food / Potions / Overall) and Tier to narrow in.
  4. Read the per-city coverage percentages. Low coverage = sparse AODP data for that city, expect missing rows in calculators.
READ THE RESULTS
  • Coverage % = how many of the items in that category/tier have AODP data fresh enough to pass your selected Score threshold.
  • A city at 90%+ on Fresh = reliable for that category. Under 60% = treat profits as estimates.
Tip: If a calculator is showing 'No price' rows for items you expect to see, check Market Health for that city first, it's usually the AODP feed being thin for that city, not the calculator failing. See the market data guide at /guides/how-to-use-albion-market-data for context on why coverage varies.
Open Market Health
FlipperBETA/silver/flipper

Scans every Royal City and finds items priced lower in one city than they're selling for in another.

WHEN TO USE

You have silver to deploy, a transport mount, and time to haul.

Before you start: Working capital (start with ~500k silver), a transport mount, and Premium for the better tax rate.
HOW TO USE
  1. Pick your Server: Americas (West), Europe, or Asia (East).
  2. Set Market Tax to match your account: No Tax (none), 4% (Premium setup), 6.5% (Premium + sell order setup), 8% (normal listing).
  3. Set a Min Profit threshold to filter noise (start at 1,000 silver/item).
  4. Pick Item Category, or paste comma-separated IDs for a custom watchlist.
  5. Sort by ROI for best percentage return or by Profit for biggest absolute wins.
READ THE RESULTS
  • Buy City = where to source. Sell City = where to flip to.
  • Profit is after tax, already discounted.
  • ROI = return on capital, useful when comparing flips of different sizes.
Tip: Black Market flips are higher margin but volatile. Always cross-check the BM order is still live before committing, open Market in a new tab and verify.
Open Flipper
IslandsBETA/silver/islands

Island and farm profit calculator with plots, workers, premium bonuses, and harvest cycles.

WHEN TO USE

You're setting up an island layout, deciding between farms vs pastures, or considering premium for farms.

HOW TO USE
  1. Set your island tier (more tier = more plots).
  2. Drop crops or animals into each plot.
  3. Set RNG Buffer (most users leave at 10% for realistic estimates).
  4. Toggle premium per worker to compare yields with and without it.
  5. Review Worker Profitability to see net daily/weekly/monthly silver per worker.
READ THE RESULTS
  • Inputs Required = what you need to plant (with RNG buffer applied).
  • Expected Outputs = harvest yield in 7 days, including returned seeds.
  • Premium gives crops 2x yield only (growth cycle stays 22h). Animals get halved growth cycle AND 2x yield, bigger gain for animals.
Tip: Foxglove and Mullein have the highest silver-per-plot for premium farmers but require steady ZvZ/PvP demand. Wheat is the safest bet for stable returns.
Open Islands
MaterialsBETA/silver/materials

Refined-material price matrix: every tier and enchant of one material type across all 7 cities at once.

WHEN TO USE

You're buying mats for a craft session or selling refined output and want the best city at a glance.

HOW TO USE
  1. Pick the material type (Leather, Cloth, Metal Bar, Planks, Stone Block).
  2. Pick a display mode: Sell / Buy Orders, one side only, or the Spread.
  3. Green highlight = cheapest sell order (buy here). Blue = highest buy order (instant-sell here). The bonus city column is marked in gold.
  4. Click a tier row for the 14-day price history panel.
Tip: Pair it with the Session Planner shopping list - the list tells you what to buy, this tells you where it is cheapest today.
Open Materials
TransportBETA/silver/transport

Cargo optimiser for a single haul: what to load between two cities for the most silver per kilogram.

WHEN TO USE

You're moving between cities anyway and have spare cart weight.

HOW TO USE
  1. Pick From and To cities, then your Max Weight (the Ox / Beetle / Mammoth buttons are presets).
  2. Set Market Tax to your situation and pick a sell strategy: Place Sell Order or Instant Sell.
  3. The Optimal Load box fills your weight greedily by silver-per-kg; the table below shows every candidate.
READ THE RESULTS
  • Buy @ = what it costs in the source city. Dest Sell = the competing sell price. Dest Buy = what instant-sell pays.
  • Silver/kg is the ranking metric - weight is the real constraint on a haul, not capital.
Tip: Routes through Caerleon or red zones are full-loot - the calculator prices the cargo, not the risk.
Open Transport

Combat

Math for fighting. IP, damage, kill data, and routes.

IP CalculatorBETA/combat/ip-calculator

Calculates real Item Power for any weapon using your actual Destiny Board specs, not generic tier formulas.

WHEN TO USE

You're comparing two weapons (or two qualities of the same weapon) and want a true IP number to compare against.

Before you start: Destiny Board must be set up for the weapon line. Without it the page shows "Set up your Destiny Board" and the Calculate button is disabled.
HOW TO USE
  1. Pick your Character from the dropdown. Only characters you've added to Destiny Board appear here.
  2. Type the weapon name in Item Search (Main Hand weapons only, armor and off-hands aren't in this calculator).
  3. Pick the exact Weapon from the filtered dropdown.
  4. Pick Quality: Normal / Good / Outstanding / Excellent / Masterpiece. Higher quality = more IP.
  5. Pick Content Type: Open World (standard ZvZ, ganking, faction warfare), Instanced (HCE, arena), or Corrupted (corrupted dungeon ruleset).
  6. Click Calculate IP.
READ THE RESULTS
  • The big number is your true Item Power including all bonuses.
  • The breakdown shows where that number comes from: base item power (from tier + enchant + quality) + mastery bonus + specialization bonus.
  • Compare two weapons by running the calc twice and noting both numbers. The higher IP usually outdamages in PvP, but check the damage breakdown in Build Workbench for nuance.
POWER MOVES
  • If your character isn't in the dropdown, click the "Go to Destiny Board" link and add it there first.
  • Run the same weapon at Outstanding vs Excellent quality to see exactly how much IP a quality tier buys you (usually 10-15 IP).
  • A T8.0 Masterpiece often outpowers a T8.1 Outstanding, useful before you reroll.
Tip: Spec impact dominates. A maxed weapon spec is worth roughly 100-120 IP compared to zero spec. If you're unsure why your weapon hits soft, check your Destiny Board spec is at 100/100, that's usually where the missing IP is.
Open IP Calculator
PvP DashboardLIVE/combat/pvp

Kills, deaths, weapon stats, and analytics for any tracked player. Pulls from the Albion killboard.

WHEN TO USE

Reviewing your own performance, scouting an enemy before content, or watching a guild member's progress.

HOW TO USE
  1. Set your Active Player with the Change button in the dashboard bar - the Track Player dialog searches any name on any server.
  2. Browse the tabs: Overview (stat cards + recent kills/deaths), Analytics (matchups and frequent opponents), Weapon Matrix (which weapons beat which).
  3. Use the range pills (1H to 30D) and type filters to slice the feed.
POWER MOVES
  • Cross-reference with Weapon Heatmap to see if you're using a meta weapon or fighting against one.
  • The kill feed shows the killer's gear loadout, useful for build inspiration.
Open PvP Dashboard
Heart RunsBETA/silver/heart-runs

All 90 heart-trading routes between Royal Cities with profit, silver-per-hour, and risk rating.

WHEN TO USE

You want a low-risk silver activity that doesn't need any spec or capital beyond a transport mount.

HOW TO USE
  1. Pick mount type at the top (or "No mount" for foot routes). Mount weight determines max package size.
  2. Pick package size: Small / Medium / Large.
  3. Filter by risk tolerance: Low / Med / High (high routes pass through Caerleon).
  4. Sort by Profit (per run), Silver/hr (focus-time efficiency), or Safety (avoid PvP).
  5. Pick the highlighted "BEST ROUTE" recommendation, or pick manually from the top routes list.
READ THE RESULTS
  • PROFIT is per run, after sell taxes.
  • SILVER/HR factors in travel + load time across many runs.
  • Risk: Low = no portal/red zone crossings. Med = Lymhurst-Fort Sterling axis (low gank chance). High = anything via Caerleon or red zones.
Tip: Prices fluctuate. Hit Refresh before each run, and check the Heart Prices panel at the bottom, if a route's heart price is "--", that route is currently untradeable on the market.
Open Heart Runs
Weapon HeatmapLIVE/combat/weapon-heatmap

Server-wide winrates and usage trends for every weapon line, kill counts, win percentages, and trend arrows.

WHEN TO USE

You're picking a build and want to know what's actually winning fights right now, not what was meta last patch.

HOW TO USE
  1. Pick a Region (Americas, Europe, Asia) and a Window (last 1,000 / 5,000 / 10,000 fights).
  2. Read the Weapon Rankings (Top 25/50/100) for winrate and fight counts, and the Rising / Falling trends for momentum.
  3. Toggle the matchup heatmap on to see weapon-vs-weapon winrates; switch between Winrate and Delta views.
Tip: A high winrate with low kill count usually means a niche pick that punches above its weight. High count + high winrate = current meta. Low winrate + high count = popular but suboptimal.

FAQ

Do I need an account?

No. Every calculator works without signing in. Account adds cross-device sync for characters, builds, and preferences, plus Discord/Google one-click login.

Why are my crafting profits showing as losses?

Usually because your Destiny Board spec for that craft is set to zero (or you skipped setting it up). Without a spec, every craft costs several times more focus, so silver-per-focus and focus-based profit collapse. Go to Destiny Board and set the relevant Crafting spec to your actual level - the calculator then re-runs with your real focus costs. (Return rate itself comes from where you craft: city, bonus city, focus, daily bonus.)

How fresh are prices?

Prices come from the Albion Data Project (AODP), they update roughly every couple of minutes when players have the data client running. On top of that, players running our own Codex Client contribute prices directly to Albion Codex - when one of those is fresher than AODP, it wins and gets a teal “Codex” badge. The exact freshness shows next to the price on most tools. “Just now” is reliable. Anything older than 10 minutes during off-peak hours should be treated with suspicion. For a full explainer on how the data flows and how to contribute back, read the market data guide.

Why are some tools marked Beta?

Beta means the tool is live and usable but we're still tightening calculations or polishing UX. The numbers are trustworthy; expect small UI changes.

Does it cost money?

Free. Codex+ (a premium tier with multi-character support, price alerts, and extended history) is coming. Everything currently visible is free.

How do I link my character?

Easiest: install the Codex Client (Windows, alpha), pair it at /account/link, and your Destiny Board imports automatically when you log in or change zones in-game. Manual fallback: on the Destiny Board page or the Dashboard, use the character switcher (top-right) or the “+ Add Character” button, set the character name and server, then open the mastery groups you care about and set the spec sliders to match what your in-game Destiny Board shows.

Is my data private?

Local-first. Calculations and saved state live in your browser. If you sign in, builds and characters are encrypted and synced through Supabase. Nothing is shared publicly unless you generate a share link yourself.

Console / mobile support?

The site works on mobile browsers. A native app is on the roadmap. All calculators function the same across desktop, console, and mobile players, the math is the same regardless of platform.
